Attleboro's City Council narrowly expanded its wetland buffer zone and raised water, sewer and trash fees for fiscal 2027. The council voted 6-5 to double the city's wetlands no-disturb buffer from 25 to 50 feet, with Councilors Waterman, Holmes, Reynolds, Tavares and D'Alessio opposed.
Attleboro City Council seats new leadership for the 2026-2027 term in a 6-5 presidential vote. At its January 6 organizational meeting, the full 11-member council elected Todd Cobus as Council President over James Delisio, with Laura Dolan elected Vice President 8-2 in a separate roll-call vote.
