City Council · Meeting of October 6, 2026

Attleboro City Council suspended its own rules Tuesday, 8-1, to bypass committee review on five license and permit hearings pending a solicitor-driven rewrite of hearing procedure. President Kobus said the fix is coming "later on this week." The council closed hearings on a Honored Lumber Company fuel-storage license, a Farrah Investments LLC used-car license, a Benefit Street stop-sign swap, and a National Grid Mendon Road utility petition, continuing a fifth, for Online Only Auto Sales LLC, to October 20. Resident Lucy Hogarth pressed for traffic answers on the National Grid work affecting "172 homes at Sand Castle." The council also voted 9-0 to shift public-hearing publication costs onto applicants, accepted a $3,800 rescue-sled donation and a $10,500 Wicked Blossom ticket donation, and approved roughly $41,600 in finance transfers and school bill payments, all unanimous roll calls.
