Attleboro School Committee approved a $117,123,877 FY27 budget and reviewed new restraint and seclusion rules. Finance Director Perrella said the district closed a $151,635 gap partly by shifting school resource officer funding to city police credits. Committee members, including Bennett and Larson, warned of worsening city deficits, projected to hit $8 million within two years.

District administrator Hill reported 254 restraint events among 42 of roughly 6,000 students this year, down from 374 events among 60 students last year, with the district's own compliance policy taking effect July 1, ahead of an August 17 state deadline. Paraprofessionals Andy Rogers and Jen Riley told the committee "paras get spit on and have objects thrown at them" and pay has not kept pace with their duties. The superintendent's formative evaluation and a six-item consent agenda, including a vandalized shed replacement at Hyman Fine Elementary, both passed unanimously.
